For the second year, the team of the Embassy Suites Tulsa, lead by Executive Chef, Sammy Ramirez, won top awards at the MTH&LA Food Fest: A Taste of Hospitality! The event is designed to showcase member hotel’s culinary talents by have chefs and amateur chefs prepare one dish and attendees can vote in three categories: Best Decorated Booth Award, People’s Choice for Best Dish and Best Amateur Chef.
Chef Sammy flexed his culinary muscle with his bacon wrapped scallop with Caribbean mango rum sauce on topped with garlic pesto infused blackened shrimp. Food and Beverage Director, Daniel Underhill assisted in conceptualizing the dish, while Chef James Vance helped prepare the dishes at the event and Catering Manager Piper Wofford and Sales Coordinator Alayna Doiron assisted with the excellent decorations. The Embassy Suites Tulsa booth was a Hawaiian theme with Chef Sammy’s very own pirate boat made out of a watermelon.
At the end of the event, Embassy Suites Tulsa Cattlemans Steakhouse won first place in two categories out of three: Best Decorated Booth Award and People’s Choice for Best Dish. This is the second year in a row that Chef Sammy led the team in winning People’s Choice for Best Dish.

Embassy Suites Tulsa Cattleman’s Steakhouse features an array of options for the diverse culinary palate. Cattleman’s Steakhouse is open nightly from 5pm to 10pm.
