Firm has assumed third-party management of 4 hotels & conference center in Chicago area since late 2011

Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), a privately owned hotel ownership and management group based in Atlanta, today announced that it has opened a regional office in Chicago to oversee daily operations of its rapidly growing portfolio of hotels and conference facilities in the area.  The office is managed by HVMG Regional Director, Operations, Margie Vito, a hospitality industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience.  Margie Vito can be reached at 312-399-5115 and mvito@hvmg.com.

“Having assumed management of four hotels and one conference center in the Chicago area since late last year, we believed it was important to establish a formal presence led by one of our top senior operators, Margie Vito, to ensure peak performance of each property and any future area hotels,” says HVMG President & CEO Robert Cole, who has worked with Vito for 25 years.

The recently added Chicago-area properties that HVMG has assumed management of since the fourth quarter of 2011 are:

·         DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago-Schaumburg (188 guest rooms, 4,618 square feet meeting space).

·         DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago Wood Dale-Elk Grove (161 guest rooms; 3,000 square feet meeting space).

·         Hilton Garden Inn St. Charles (120 guest rooms; 4,128 square feet meeting space).

·         The Advanced Center for Training  (20,000+ square feet of IACC-certified meeting space; adjacent to Hilton Garden Inn St. Charles).

·         Holiday Inn Express Chicago-St. Charles (122 guest rooms; 1,500 square feet of meeting space).

HVMG added eight hotels to its portfolio in 2011 (a 36% growth rate) and has already added two in 2012 so far.  In 2010, HVMG added seven hotels (a 33% growth rate) despite one of the tougher operating and growth environments in the history of the hotel industry.
